- [Magic Square Solver]: Solving the Magic Square Problem (constrained and unconstrained versions) using modern heuristic methods.

- [Gap between Primes]: Finding optimal k₀ values and narrow admissible k₀-tuples (Polymath8).

- Combinatorial Optimization: Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), Graph Coloring (GCP), Quadratic Knapsack Problem (QKP).

- Swarm algorithms: Social Cognitive Optimization (SCO), DEPSO, Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO), Differential Evolution (DE).

- Some algorithms are implemented in NLPSolver (Solver for Nonlinear Programming), an extension of Calc in Apache OpenOffice.

- Identification of songbird species in field recordings using machine learning techniques [Poster].
