WIOMAX has participated as a transportation action cluster in the Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC) program. GCTC is a collaborative platform organized by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for the development of smart cities and connected communities.

Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC)The Smart and Secure Cities and Communities Challenge will encourage participating teams to have additional focus on cybersecurity and privacy as the first order concern, as well as all existing GCTC goals such as replicability, scalability and sustainability.

Collaborated with the City of Seat Pleasant in MD, our action cluster aims to empower walkable and bikeable communities using smart Decision Support System (DSS) integrated with Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication. More details can be found on the GCTC wiki page.

WIOMAX is a research and consulting team to explore real-time, smart and scalable solutions especially for applications to achieve Smart Mobility and Smart Cities by integrating cutting-edge DOAI [Data Analytics + Optimization + Artificial Intelligence (AI) + Internet of Things (IoT)] technologies, from basic research to industry transition and product development and support.

WIOMAX looks forward to collaborating with and learning from the diverse partners, and contributing novel solutions to help improving road safety based on extensive R&D experience of our researchers and engineers. Some of existing R&D work performed by WIOMAX on road safety can be found here.
