WIOMAX has joined the national Road to Zero Coalition, a partnership between public and private entities dedicated to eliminating traffic deaths by 2050.
Highway traffic safety is a serious issue raising increased public concerns. In USA, 35,092 people died and 1.7 million people injured in 6.3 million police-reported traffic crashes in 2015, according to the statistics.
Road to Zero is an initiative of National Safety Council (NSC), in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The Road to Zero Coalition is a coordinated, data-driven response to the increase in roadway deaths. Road to Zero was founded in 2016 by a group of public and private entities, including federal government, state government, non-profit, and private sector entities to end all fatalities on our roadways in the next 30 years.
